A father–daughter podcast

College
is About
Housing

A college dad and his college daughter talking honestly about the stuff nobody warns you about — from random roommates and 8 a.m. classes to the moment you pull up at the gas pump with $20 to your name.

Rob and Morgan at Morgan's college graduation

Morgan, '24 — cap & gown achieved

Hey — this is my dad, and I actually graduated. So we kinda know what we're talking about.— Morgan

What it's about

The stuff nobody puts in thebrochure.

College is About ___ fills in the blank that campus tours, admissions packets, and orientation videos always leave empty. Each episode picks one part of college life — housing, classes, money, time, friendships, AI — and unpacks it the way a real conversation between a dad and his daughter actually sounds. Not advice. Stories. The good calls, the bad calls, and the ones we're still figuring out.

It's made for two people: the college student trying to feel a little less alone in the chaos, and the parent trying to figure out how to actually be useful from 800 miles away.

We've started the conversation so it can continue with you.

Morgan is the daughter — a recent grad, working professional, and the actual expert on what it feels like to live this stuff right now.
